Symptoms of Depression
Depression is one serious psychological illness as it is not the typical fleeting moment of loneliness or feeling blue. Usually, people describe themselves as depressed when they feel particularly lonely because of certain life events, such as a breakup with the romantic partner. However, this is a common mistake as depression is only diagnosed when it has passed a certain criterion. The symptoms for depression are: isolation of the self from others, self-pity or the sense of unimportance, sleeping problems (either oversleeping or the lack thereof), attitude problem, loss of general interest, lack of energy, and suicidal tendencies.
